Beach property is the most sought-after real estate around the world. People want to buy property along the shore for retirement and leisure. Vacationers and tourists flock to the beach to relax, bath, swim, and commune with nature. The attraction of the beach is compounded by the quality of its sand and the activities nearby such as island hopping, diving, snorkeling, etc.
Boracay is a very well known beach getaway destination from both local and foreign visitors. It is a very pretty island with white beaches. A lot of people are attracted to this island that even locals from every part of the country dream of going there every time the word "Boracay" is mentioned. For decades Boracay had been the world's tourist attraction. Now it comes to the point where sustainability and balance between nature conservation and economic development are threatened. Boracay gets smaller every year. It means tourists are increasing in number but the island starts having difficulty accommodating them. Moreover, its natural beauty and the conservation of its environment are deteriorating. Thus, people want to explore another place and get away from the crowd. The government also has to look for an alternative tourist destination conveniently located and bigger than Boracay. And they have found one.
This place is bigger than Boracay. It has pristine waters, verdant virgin forest, huge land area, interesting islands, in shores with plenty of corals and exotic fish, vast opportunity for eco-tourism, unlimited lands for business development, hugbarnes and Ne open sea for deep sea diving, sport fishing, and sailing, long foreshores to explore, plenty of waterfalls and caves, vast mangroves, challenging highlands, clean sea breeze, and most of all, has the longest white sandy beach in the Philippines- 50 kilometer of non-contiguous beach including the 14-kilometer Long Beach, the longest white sandy beach in the Philippines by far. This place is San Vicente, Palawan.
San Vicente is part of the president's Super Region Growth Corridor in Western Visayas. Planning and implementation of the projects are ongoing. The new airport, in compliance with international standard, has resumed construction and will be operational in 5 years. Municipal zoning and designation of big establishment are ongoing. Plans for big hotels, malls, restaurants, and entertainment centers have been in the planning board for a while. Most of all, environmental protection is strictly considered; that all improvement and development in every sector have to comply with strict environmental regulations. One of these is restriction on the number of hotels constructed in a one-hectare land along the beach. Also a 25-meter easement from high tide line to the beach will be implemented. Thus, we can accommodate every visitor and we welcome all visitors even if it means the whole tourist population in Asia and the rest of the world. Our land is big, we are not an island. We plan it carefully so we are ready. This is San Vicente, the next big thing in Philippines' tourism.
