San Vicente is part of the president's Super Region Growth Corridor in Western Visayas. Planning and implementation of the projects are ongoing. The new airport, in compliance with international standard, has resumed construction and will be operational in 5 years. Municipal zoning and designation of big establishment are ongoing. Plans for big hotels, malls, restaurants, and entertainment centers have been in the planning board for a while. Most of all, environmental protection is strictly considered; that all improvement and development in every sector have to comply with strict environmental regulations. One of these is restriction on the number of hotels constructed in a one-hectare land along the beach. Also a 25-meter easement from high tide line to the beach will be implemented. Thus, we can accommodate every visitor and we welcome all visitors even if it means the whole tourist population in Asia and the rest of the world. Our land is big, we are not an island.
